Basic Building Kit

The basic dome kit includes 21 pre-fabricated sections designed for easy assembly. All components can be transported using standard cargo methods, including containers, trucks, and helicopters.

Offers are structured around the delivery of the basic dome package, which includes specially designed and custom-manufactured components.

 

Overview (minimum requirements)

  • 21 structural sections made of solid pinewood, finished with high-grade exterior plywood for durability and strength. (+2 sections for each door).
  • Complete mounting kit with iron bolts and fittings for fast, secure assembly.
  • pinewood or mahogany-framed windows, factory-painted and ready for installation. Window placement is flexible and can be tailored to your preferred layout.
  • 1 main entrance door (optional).
  • Aluminum flashing is included for all wall, roof, and window junctions.
    It is precisely designed to prevent water ingress and protect the dome structure from rain and moisture.

Building Codes and Standards

The Easy Domes concept fully complies with all applicable Scandinavian and EU construction codes and standards.

Dome Section Certification

Each dome is constructed from precision-cut pine timber, mounted to 12  and 15mm CE-certified exterior plywood. All sections come pre-drilled for easy assembly using 10 mm iron bolts.

The structural design consists of 10 hexagons, 6 pentagons, and 5 quadrangles—forming a 5/8 segment of a truncated icosahedron, a proven geometric form known for strength and stability.

Eurocode Compliance

Easy Domes’ wooden sections are certified according to the requirements of the European standard prEN 14732-1, and fully comply with Eurocode DS/EN 1995, in effect since January 1, 2009.

Building the basic dome

  1.  Work-floor with first wall sections.
  2.  Lower part with 10 sections.
  3.  Pentagon being placed.
  4.  Window section.
  5.  Three roof sections remain.
  6.  Roof top section being placed.
